I had made a similar service a few years ago (sendmypassword.net) but it never got much traction outside of my company. Do you send confirmation mails, etc after the password is seen so that the sender knows the password got there?

No we don't keep any identifying information so we have no way to contact people. We only display a message on the private URI page to the effect of, "Message was received 30 minutes ago".
