More like Microsoft has enough user beta testers that they can aggregate their anecdotes in order to get useful data, instead of just treating single user anecdotes as "proof" of anything.

MSFT does (IMO) rigorous usability testing, but I'm not so sure the organization is agile enough to take that feedback into account.
